In 1961, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government created the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar. One of Pakistan’s oldest BISE boards. In the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the BISE board Peshawar has handled intermediate and secondary school examinations solely for many years until the KPK government established other BISE boards for numerous areas.
