In the years 2004-2005, the population of Malakand Division was estimated at 567,000 people. In order to carry out Malakand’s Intermediate and Secondary Education System policies, the BISE Malakand was founded.
Peshwar Borad was once responsible for Malakand’s Intermediate and Secondary education, but the fast expansion of schools, educational institutions and the number of students necessitated the creation of a separate Malakand education board. Lower Dir, Upper Dir, Malakand District, and the Bajaur Agency are all included in the authority of the BISE Malakand.
