The Karachi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BIEK Karachi Board) is distinct from other Boards of Education for intermediate and secondary grades in that it operates solely for intermediate classes. Amendment Act 20 of 1973, passed in Sindh in 1974, established the Sindh Board for Intermediate and Secondary Education (SBISE).
According to this act, BIEK has the legislative authority to create, cancel and renew education policies for its affiliated institutions as well as jurisdictional areas. As well as overseeing the development of the academic system, the Board is responsible for the moral and ethical education of students. Intermediary students’ mental, physical, and moral development is overseen by this system.
For the purpose of instilling self-assurance in students, the club sponsors a variety of sporting and debate events as well as educational programmes. BIEK Karachi Board is responsible for all H.S.C (Intermediate) examinations and results in Science, Commerce, Humanities, and Home Economics groups, as well as the D.P.E Examination in Physical Education.
